Each Merlin Skateboards deck is individually handcrafted in our workshop. The process begins with selecting the materials and designing the shape, then continues through every stage of manufacturing to the final finishing touches.
This handcrafted approach gives us complete control over the entire process, allowing us to give each skateboard the time and attention it deserves.

At Merlin Skateboards, every board is made from start to finish in our workshop in Bergerac, Dordogne, France.
No board arrives pre-pressed from a factory, and no industrial machining is involved in its production. Our machines are those of a human-scale workshop, dedicated to traditional craftsmanship.
We favour small-batch production and hands-on work to create unique, personalized and made-to-measure boards.
At Merlin, craftsmanship is at the heart of everything: from our relationship with each customer to the manufacturing process, and through to feedback from our riders.

CRAFTSMANSHIP STARTS WITH THE CHOICE OF MATERIALS
Each skateboard starts with the right choice of materials. Canadian maple forms the foundation of our constructions for its mechanical properties, while carefully selected wood species and veneers give each creation its own character. Marquetry, wood combinations and finishes are then carefully designed to combine technical performance, durability and aesthetic identity.
