SHIPPING POLICY

This Shipping Policy sets out the terms and conditions under which MERLIN SKATEBOARDS ships its products in France and internationally.

Article 1. Order Processing Times

All orders are prepared and dispatched within 48 business hours, excluding weekends and public holidays, from the date the order is confirmed.

Made-to-order, personalised or custom-made projects may require a specific production time. The estimated timeframe will be communicated to the customer before or at the time of ordering.

During periods of high demand, particularly around the holidays or during certain commercial periods, order processing times may exceptionally be extended.

Article 2. Shipping Methods and Delivery Times

MERLIN SKATEBOARDS offers delivery:

  • within mainland France;

  • to countries within the European Union;

  • to French overseas territories where the delivery service is available;

  • to certain countries outside the European Union.

The availability of destinations and shipping methods depends in particular on the destination country, the weight and dimensions of the order. Available shipping options and their prices are displayed at checkout.

Shipping Methods

Depending on the destination, several shipping methods may be available:

  • Home delivery: the parcel is delivered to the address provided when placing the order;

  • Parcel shop delivery: where available in the destination country, the parcel is delivered to the parcel shop selected by the customer;

  • Workshop collection: orders can be collected free of charge from the MERLIN SKATEBOARDS workshop, located at 3 rue André Maurois, 24100 Bergerac, France, by appointment.

Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and may vary depending on the destination, carrier and shipping method selected.

As a general guide:

  • Mainland France: generally 3 to 5 business days;

  • European Union: generally 3 to 8 business days;

  • International outside the European Union: generally 5 to 15 business days, depending on the destination and customs procedures;

  • French overseas territories: generally 15 to 30 business days.

These delivery times are indicative and may be extended due to circumstances beyond MERLIN SKATEBOARDS’ control, including carrier delays, customs inspections or exceptional transport conditions.

Article 3. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based in particular on:

  • the destination country;

  • the weight and dimensions of the order;

  • the shipping method selected.

As a general guide:

  • Mainland France: from €4.99 to a parcel shop and €9.99 for home delivery;

  • European Union: rates vary depending on the destination country and order weight;

  • French overseas territories: rates vary depending on the territory and order weight;

  • International outside the European Union: rates vary depending on the destination country, order weight and shipping method.

The exact shipping cost is displayed before the order is confirmed.

MERLIN SKATEBOARDS reserves the right to adjust its shipping rates in line with changes in transportation costs.

Article 4. Taxes, Customs Duties and Import Charges

For orders shipped outside France and, where applicable, outside the European Union, customs duties, taxes, import charges or customs clearance fees may be imposed by the authorities in the destination country.

Any such charges are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise stated at the time of ordering.

MERLIN SKATEBOARDS is not responsible for the amount of these taxes or duties, nor for any delays resulting from customs procedures.

Customers are responsible for checking, before placing an order, whether any additional charges may apply in their country of residence.

If a customer refuses delivery of a parcel due to customs duties, taxes or import charges, any additional costs charged to MERLIN SKATEBOARDS by the carrier or relevant authorities may be deducted from the refundable amount, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Article 5. Order Tracking

Where the selected shipping method includes tracking, a tracking number will be sent to the customer by email once the order has been dispatched.

The customer can use this number to track the progress of their parcel on the carrier’s website.

Tracking information is provided by the carrier and may take some time to update, particularly when crossing international borders or during customs clearance.

Article 6. Damaged, Lost or Undelivered Parcels

MERLIN SKATEBOARDS takes particular care in packaging and preparing all orders.

If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, the customer is advised to report the damage to the carrier and contact MERLIN SKATEBOARDS as soon as possible, ideally including photographs of the parcel and product.

In the event of a lost parcel or delivery issue, MERLIN SKATEBOARDS will contact the carrier to seek a solution.

Where MERLIN SKATEBOARDS has selected the carrier, the seller remains responsible until the product has been received by the customer, in accordance with applicable regulations.

We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, which may include a refund or replacement.

Article 7. Right of Withdrawal

For orders to which the right of withdrawal applies, the customer has 14 calendar days from receipt of the product to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to provide a reason.

To exercise this right, the customer must notify MERLIN SKATEBOARDS of their decision in writing at:

contact@merlinskateboards.com

The product must then be returned within a maximum of 14 days from the date the withdrawal decision is communicated.

Direct return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise required by applicable law or where the return is due to an error by MERLIN SKATEBOARDS or a defective product.

Refunds will be issued in accordance with applicable legal requirements. Where a valid withdrawal is exercised, the original standard delivery cost will be refunded. Any additional cost resulting from the customer choosing a more expensive delivery method will not be refunded.

Article 8. Personalised and Custom-Made Products

In accordance with applicable regulations, the right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised.

This includes, in particular, skateboards:

  • personalised at the customer’s request;

  • made to specific shapes, dimensions or specifications;

  • manufactured as part of a custom-made project;

  • featuring a customisation or design specifically requested by the customer.

The terms applicable to custom-made projects are agreed upon before production begins.

Article 9. Returned Products

Where a return is authorised, the product must be returned in a condition suitable for resale, together with its accessories and, where possible, its original packaging.

The customer may handle the product only to the extent necessary to assess its nature, characteristics and proper functioning. Any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for this assessment may be taken into account in accordance with applicable regulations.

These terms do not in any way limit consumers’ rights regarding statutory warranties or legal guarantees of conformity.
