Discover our recycled skateboard keychains, at the intersection of art and craftsmanship.

Merlin Skateboards Keychains

Born in the Merlin Skateboards workshop, these keychains are cut from scrap wood left over from the artisanal production of skateboards. They are small, simple objects, crafted with the same precision as the boards they are used alongside, and carrying the same spirit: that of wood cut to last, to withstand, to live.

Each keychain is crafted from Canadian maple, the wood used to construct the boards. This material, selected for its strength and lightness, is diverted from its original purpose to become an everyday object that is practical, sturdy, and unique. The pieces are chosen for their lines, colors, and visual features. Nothing is artificially recreated: the material speaks for itself.

The colored layers—vestiges of the skateboard's structure—create patterns unique to each piece. Some are vibrant, others more sober. All bear the memory of a gesture, a work, a board that could have rolled, but here finds another path. The shapes vary according to the series: clean rectangles, organic contours, irregular cutouts. Each keychain is hand-sanded, then protected with a natural finish.

It's a small object, but it embodies a lot: a responsible choice of material, a gesture of recycling, attention to detail. To slip into a pocket, to hold between your fingers, to give as a gift. It embodies a philosophy of utility: to do well, even for a modest accessory. Because everything deserves attention—even a fragment.

These pieces are made in France, using a local, artisanal approach that respects materials. They showcase a different way of creating: without waste, without standardization, starting with what remains to imagine what can still be used.

Each keychain is a trace of wood and the workshop, a way to keep with you a shard of material, a memory of a board, a fragment of a curve. An unpretentious object, but with meaning. A link between everyday life and craftsmanship, between the hand and the pocket.
